Dr. Yumna Piracha was born and raised in Westchester County, NY. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. During her years at Columbia, she received several awards including Dean’s Scholar, a distinction presented to the top five-percent of her class. She then completed her advanced training in Endodontics at Columbia University’s Post-Doctorate Endodontics Program.
She is a member of the American Association of Endodontics and has presented at meetings and conferences nationally. Dr. Piracha’s novel research in Horizontal Posts was recently published in the Journal of Endodontics. Dr. Piracha is passionate about understanding and applying new research and modern advances in her practice.
Dr. Piracha enjoys reading, running and spending time outdoors with family and friends. Professionally, Dr. Piracha strives to bust the myth that “root canal” has to hurt.
